Had a feeling it'd be during the season of autumn, I'll take it.

No real animation in this PV though, hope that's not any kind of sign.

The KV is lame as shit, they just badly photoshopped all previous hero visuals into one picture they didn't even put effort to make one lol. Also still no info on director, I have a bad feeling that this will be S2 2.0 again.

I'm honestly shocked that people thought this would end up looking great considering everything we've heard about it's production has been full of red flags.

- JC Staff doesn't have the talent to helm such an action intensive arc.
- No director revealed.
- It has sat in production hell for the past couple years.
- The previous season by JC Staff looked incredibly mid.

This arc was also hard carried by the art in the manga. So if the anime's artstyle/animation looks like shit throughout then there isn't anything character-wise or narrative-wise from the manga that could carry it. So there's a high chance that this season will be incredibly mid, if not terrible.

at least it's better than ' the beginning after the end ' in terms of animation .

Kazunori Ozawa, who supervised the teaser that came out last year, came out and said he also supervised the animation for this PV. Maybe it’s pre-animated? But even then, that doesn’t seem like a good thing.

tbh for a first pv, it feels very weird... animation looked stiff asf and tatsumaki looked fuked up with that blue lock ass stink aura smh. they should have gave opm s3 to a Chinese studio to do it justice fr. pretty safe to say, we're cooked!

I don't get why people are so hyped about it considering JC Staff's doing it?
The S1 by Madhouse is scored 8.5/10 ish, where S2 by JC Staff is only 7.5/10.

JC Staff is mid, One Punch Man S3 will be mid... I don't get why you'd get your hopes up.
It's not like it changed to WIT Studio or A1...

Nobody should've been expecting S1 level anyway. Nevertheless the lack of any real animation is weird, and it's even weirder that they didn't make this look better although it's supposedly "pre-animated". It's almost like they're marketing this to have reduced hype, or am I just tweaking?

Anyway the compositing sort of looks much better than S2, and some of the cuts look kinda cleaner. I'm just inhaling copium at this point. Better just stick with the manga 🥲

I don't get how anyone can say it looks better than season 2?? The drawings are sloppy and all over the place, the proportions don't look good enough, there isn't any animation to go by in this pv anyway as they are mostly still cuts. Honestly I think the anime is officially doomed. It'd be better to just stick with the manga going forward and I'm saying it as a person who was anime only for one punch man.

I really thought that they'd learn something from their mistakes of last season but they have gone and made it shittier than it was before. I don't know how they can butcher such a big franchise but they have and I don't know what's the reason other than bad fuking management...

And here I was just hoping the animation and drawings would be consistent this time around but the pv has made it clear they don't give a rats ass about the show and it really hurts me as it deserved a much better treatment. They deserve all the hate they get if the final product is just as shitty as the pv because the first time could be a mistake but the second time is just pure ignorance and shows a lack of love for the source material.

I think we should put our expectations below zero and the lack of info about the director is maybe an indication that the production might be worse than S2

This kind of people either they don't care or they don't read the manga and can't see how crap quality this season will be. I mean we are a less than year from the air days and we don't know the director . They are still hiding him

this season has animation style of season 1
most of the times when studio degrades detailing they increase fluidity so I think this season is promising and also they took plenty of time to animate it

@CrunchyCrobat they just think just cuz making of S3 was leaked/announced in 2022, JC Staff must have started working on it by then,

@Confused_100 anime production does not work that way, when an anime project is announced they do not work on it right away especially when the studio is waiting for the old staff to be available or not busy with other anime projects and that can take years of waiting for them to be all available and worse the old staff never returns and you get new staff that are not as talented as the old staff

@HorsePersonMan They absolutely do though, have you even seen ANY of JC Staff's well animated shows? They have the talent for good action, and furthermore S2 wasn't even their fault for the most part.

Look at Blue Lock S2, that's the result of a terrible schedule, OPM S2 had a poor schedule too but the animation they produced there wasn't nearly as bad as everyone makes it out to be. Underwhelming compared to S1 for sure but JC Staff absolutely is capable of doing OPM S3 justice.

@MewsicMagic jc staff does an average of 10 anime per year meanwhile great anime studios like ufotable and kyoto animation does 1-2 anime per year only so you can see how much busy and how much jc staff do not have a good production time and schedule

look at the recent high priority anime of jc staff is the danmachi season 5 it only has like 1-2 good sakuga episodes thats it and it has a lot of delays too

@deg JC Staff also has MUCH more staff and are much more capable of doing more anime at once. Danmachi isn't their only well animated show, they've made quite a few in the past few years.

The timing for the production doesn't bode too well for the schedule, but this trailer clearly wasn't supposed to be an animation showcase or anything.

Do you really expect them to pour all their animation effort into non combat scenes? Of course not that would be stupid, this is one punch man after all. This trailer isn't a good one for judging or estimating what the final product will look like, everyone's so sucked into JC Staff doom posting they can't see things objectively anymore.

When they release a PV showing more of the actual season, not just the "introductions" then we can get a good look at what they can do.

I just have to say, that's a truly terrible poster. What is that? It looks uninteresting and slapdash, like they stuck a bunch of character stickers on a sheet of paper. Zero impact, zero cohesion, zero context.

The PV isn't great, either. Forget the animation quality, it just looks like a random collection of scraps. Is that supposed to be exciting?

That was the most lifeless promotion of any anime I've seen recently, action series or not.

Looks pretty good I should say. Yeah, maybe or obviously isn't one of the greatest PV trailers of all time for this year of anime and this is just the introduction pv so we still mostly don't know how the anime is going to look in terms of animation wise but hey I could be wrong because it's anime after all by what I mean they could surprise us in a bad or good way and ofc I'll keep my expectations low but yeah I feel like a few to some people are a bit harsh yet understandable being a lot of people doubt the flip out of J.C Staff after their previous work in OPM S2.

The KV looks aight. Ik obviously some people will think it's a letdown because how long it took to create S3 of OPM here.

But y'know, I'm still rlly excited because I'll definitely feast on all of Garou's scenes yeah!!

Also, I'm very curious abt who's the director for OPM S3 will be?
